My main goal in any session is to capture you and your children as you are right now as artistically beautiful and authentically as I possibly can. Looking back over the years, especially after having lost my mom, one of my regrets of my own and of the family I grew up in is that it just wasn’t as accurately and beautifully documented as I would have liked. Growing up, we were an “every five years Olan Mills” family. You know what I mean; the classic terrible backdrop with my brothers and I and my parents with our cheesy smiles awkwardly posed. Timeless, right? Let me assure you those portraits are hidden away in some box right now in my dad’s basement and they certainly are not displayed on any of our walls. I strive to create timeless portraits with sincere interactions that will remain in your family for years. I take my time to understand what you are looking for out of your portraits – from the space you’d like to fill in your home to the palette of colors in what you wear and the location of our shoot that would work best to accentuate your home decor.
